When I heard that the City had spent $670,000 in a lawsuit with the Cozy Inn, I decided that we needed to do something different. That is a big reason I decided to file. We should be spending tax dollars on potholes, parks and paving--things that help our city.
In my role as City Commissioner, I helped save millions of taxpayer dollars on the construction of the Salina Fieldhouse. If elected, I will continue to look for ways to save taxpayer dollars.
We need to create an event and news clearinghouse in Salina that citizens can visit to find out what is happening in Salina without visiting many websites. The news sources we have currently are limited in the breadth of information that can be shared with citizens. I will make this topic a priority if I am elected on November 4th.
